Boon Oude Kriek is an aged fruit lambic beer from Belgian brewers Boon. Boon is a specialist lambic brewery and reputedly has the largest stock of lambic beer in oak barrels in the world. Lambic beer is a Belgian style beer fermented using wild yeast and bacteria from the air around the Zenne valley, where this style originated. Gueuze, kriek lambic and framboise are all styles of lambic beer.

Boon Oude Kriek is a blend of oak-aged Boon lambic beer with fresh wild cherries. This authentic Belgian beer, whose tinge of fresh yeast is associated with a light rosy flowery touch, is particularly pleasant. Its aroma, perceived as one enjoys it, only accents the delightful sensations revealed by the odour, all revealing a light but agreeable caramelised note.

Chimay Triple, with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer’s flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
