Hi, Thursday 1st October, it’s the next GY Folk Night at the Blackfriars Tavern Great Yarmouth.
What is it? It’s a folk night – of the people, by the people for the people. There is no booked act or band, which means you make it what it is.
How does it work?
1.You turn up with your singing voice, or your spoken words, or your instrument, or with your listening ears.
2.They go round the room and ask if you want to do something, you can say “yes” or “not tonight” or “not yet”, there is no pressure.
3.If yes, then you do your thing
4.They ask the next person. When they get to the end, they start again with the first person.
There is a break and we do some complimentary snacks after the half way point.
